Each student receives a set of templates and builds one Adirondack chair in the class. In addition to leaving with a chair you'll learn about using a bandsaw follower and flush trim setup to make multiples.

About the event
Our class chairs are made from 4/4 western red cedar. In addition to learning how to build an Adirondack chair you'll learn about using a bandsaw follower, starter pin and compression flush trim bit on the router table, exterior glue and fastenr choices and steps to take to extend the life of outdoor furniture. The bandsaw/template/flush trim approach is great for any project requiring multiple curvy parts, or for mass producing items.
Each student leaves with a chair and full set of templates made from Baltic Birch plywood. In addition to the templates required to make the chair this includes gauges, spacers and fastener layout needed for assembly.
The assembled chair is 38" tall, 31" wide and 32" deep. Please plan on a way to transport your chair home.
The completed chair will require sanding and sealing, if desired, in your shop.
